Happy Halloween !!

Coat: TopShop // Pants: Zara // Sweater: Macy's // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. I am not sure whether it is the candy, or the fact that it is the one day a year where dressing like a cat is totally acceptable. Either way, I am glad it is finally here! This is an outfit I wore in NYC two weeks ago, and I am a little obsessed with this leopard coat. I am pleasantly surprised at how many things I packed paired well with a printed coat. Versatility is something I like to consider when packing (even though over-packing is usually inevitable for me.)

As you can see, the 'Big Apple' was quite festive with big pumpkins. I loved this display of them I found in a east side neighborhood. That is one of my favorite things about the City, there are so many things to discover. I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday... as for me I have candy to eat and a costume party to attend. As always thanks for reading!

Best Beaus

Happy Friday! To put it simply, I am in love with this bag. It is bright and modern and adds the right pop of color to an outfit. My beau was my trusty companion in NYC last week, and I found that it was the perfect size to hold all of my essentials: full size wallet, Nikon 5200, mini makeup bag, water bottle and even a pair of flats. I also love that the 'beau' on the front is an easily accessible pocket for my phone... I am always digging frantically in the depths of my purse mid-ring. I guess you could say I am in a committed handbag relationship! I hope everyone has a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

City Girl

Happy Tuesday everyone! I had a wonderful trip to New York City. So much eating, drinking, and shopping; I am pretty exhausted... but exhausted in the best kind of way! I am going to have to adjust to life going back to normal, but in the meantime, I will still hear the opening music to 'Sex and the City' playing in my head! My favorite thing about the City is how easy it is to get inspired. I loved strolling around the Soho neighborhoods and seeing all the amazing street style. It is truly a fashionista's paradise. When it came to my own style, I wore this graphic neoprene dress because to me it feels just like New York: busy, colorful, and architectural. Thanks to the mild October weather, I didn't have to opt for tights and ankle boots... although, I am thinking this dress will look great styled for the colder days to come. Thank you for reading as always and have a great week!

Menswear Mix

Life has been crazy lately! Last week I was lucky enough talk to Rebecca Minkoff on Google's Shop the Hangout, and I must admit I am still freaking out about it a little! This past weekend, two of my friends got engaged... and this week I am leaving for New York City! Though it is good to be busy,  all the excitement is a little exhausting. However, this outfit makes me feel ready to take on the day. There is something powerful about the mix of feminine and masculine. These pants are a silky foulard that is the same material as a men's necktie; and my coat with its grey-toned herringbone has a 1920s Al Capone vibe. I especially love the two prints together. To add a healthy dose of girly, I paired my menswear pieces with super feminine accessories like a metallic pump, a little sparkle, and a bright pink lip.

Here is to a smooth rest of the week and a great trip!  I hope everyone enjoys their week as well, and as always thank you for reading!

Fall Mix: Flannel and Leopard

Happy Tuesday everyone! The cool fall weather has officially arrived in Oxford thanks to a cold front over the weekend. I am pleased to finally be able to wear some of my fall favorites like my cozy flannel. Flannel on its own can seem a little boring, but paired with leopard high tops... it creates an interesting mix of print. In small doses I have always considered leopard to be a neutral; it plays well with almost everything. I hope everyone is enjoying the changing of seasons as much as I am, and as always thank you for reading.

Midnight Midi

Happy October! Pumpkin flavored everything, Halloween, and changing leaves... October has always been on of my favorite months. This black and navy combination is also going to be another fall favorite of mine. There was a time that I thought that pairing navy with black looked more like a bruise than an acceptable color palette. It is funny how your tastes can change, because now I am hooked. I love the way the two midnight hues play off of each other to add dimension to a head-to-toe dark outfit. In addition to the color combination, I am loving high waisted bottoms paired with crop tops.  Though a little daring... the swingy skirt kept it feeling ladylike. I hope everyone is having a great week, and as always thank you for stopping by!
