Party Skirt

Skirt: Topshop // Top: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Vince Camuto // Jacket: Zara (Similar here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelets: J.Crew and David Yurman // Watch: Michael Kors

Now that I have eaten my fair share of turkey and dressing, the next kind of dressing that will be on my mind is what I am going to wear to holiday parties! This skirt may just be my favorite thing in my closet right now, and nothing says holiday like taffeta. In order to balance out the ultra feminine skirt, I added edge with a leather moto-jacket and velvet crop-top. Mixing the textures of leather, velvet, and taffeta is a great way to add dimension and richness to create a celebration-ready ensemble. Now all I need is a glass of champagne and Christmas music! I hope everyone has a great rest of the Thanksgiving weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Groovy Layers

Jeans: J.Brand (similar here and last seen here) // Coat: Zara // Top: Tibi // Vest: David Buffalo (old, similar here) // Necklace: Lulu Frost for J.Crew // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Happy Wednesday everyone! It is great how things come back in style. Case in point: flare jeans. They remind my Mom of the 1970s, and they remind me of the early 2000s...but either way they are a good way to switch up the skinny jean monotony. To play up the vintage vibe of these groovy jeans, I layered my fur vest under my basic black coat. This is a fun way to make a light weight coat extra cozy (It is officially cold in Florida today). And if I wasn't feeling like Rachel Zoe already, I threw on a tassel necklace. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday with their family and friends and as always thank you for reading!

Pink and Navy

Skirt: ASOS (last seen here, similar version here and here) // Sweater: J.Crew // Shoes: J.Crew // Earrings: J.Crew (similar here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bracelets: David Yurman // Watch: Michael Kors

Hello everyone! It is great to be back in my home State of Florida for Thanksgiving. Everything always seems prettier when you haven't seen it in a while, so I am really enjoying the beautiful moss covered oaks and green fairways in my neighborhood. Though it is too far south for the leaves to change, the weather is still chilly. To make my navy midi skirt cool weather ready, I paired it with my preppy pink sweater. Preppy touches feel so right being that I am back on the East Coast. I also love how the half-tucked casual sweater balances out the drama of a full skirt and shiny accessories. I hope everyone has a great holiday week and thank you for reading!

Cozy Neutrals

Sweater: Joe Fresh (loving this similar copper version here) // Coat: J.Crew // Jeans: JBrand // Shoes: J.Crew // Bracelets: David Yurman and J.Crew // Bag: Coach 'Willis' // Lips: Bobbi Brown 'Jenna' // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Hello Everyone! I have been wearing a lot of black and white lately, so I wanted to change things up by layering soft neutrals with relaxed denim. This metallic sweater is one of my fall favorites, it is what I like to call an elevated basic: a versatile piece with a special detail. It's metallic sheen will make it my casual holiday go-to. I hope everyone has a great rest of their week, and safe travels as we get closer to Thanksgiving! As always thank you for reading.

Whatever!

Dress: Tibi (also here) // Under Shirt: Madewell (similar here) // Coat: DVF (old, similar here) // Shoes: J.Crew // Socks: American Apparel // Bag: DVF // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Lips: NARS 'Dragon Girl' // Watch: Michael Kors // Bracelets: David Yurman

As If!  I'm feeling a little bit like Cher Horowitz from 'Clueless' in this ensemble. This dress is one of my favorite purchases from my trip to NYC last month.  It's just such an easy dress that can be styled a thousand different ways.  Here, I wore a shirt underneath and over-the-knee socks for a preppy feel. I also threw on my oversized herringbone coat to create a monochromatic look, and not to mention... to stay warm.  But add a statement necklace and a pretty pump, this flirty frock would go straight to cocktail hour.  Speaking of cocktails, I am so happy it is Friday! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Sneaker Chic

Sneakers: Nike // Flannel: Madewell // Shirt: Piko (similar here)  // Leggings: Topshop // Coat: Zara // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Karen Walker

Happy Wednesday!  It is getting to be that time of year when running errands, usually involves...well, running. When life hands me a long to-do list I am thrilled that sneakers are right on trend. They are obviously comfortable and surprisingly easy to pair with anything you would normally wear with ballet flats. Here I paired my chic sneaks with cozy flannel and leather-look leggings, a nice on-the-go alternative to workout clothes... and just a touch more pulled together. I imagine I will wear something similar to this ensemble for my black friday shopping festivities...yes, I am already making my list and checking it twice! Too soon? I hope everyone is having a great mid-week and thank you as always for reading.

Fall Stroll

Tights: c/o Kushyfoot // Dress: Joe Fresh (loving this one) // Chambray Dress: J.Crew (old, similar on sale here) // Blazer: J.Crew (old, similar here) // Boots: Hunter // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Bag: Forever 21 // Watch: Michael Kors // Bracelets: J.Crew and David Yurman // Lips: Dragon Girl // Nails: OPI Big Apple Red

Hello Everyone and Happy Monday! Wow, how the weekend has flown by!  It is hard to believe that in two weeks I head back to Florida for Thanksgiving. Though I am eager for a break in the fall chill, I am currently enjoying the opportunity to play with layers. One important layer that I have discovered recently are these fleece tights by Kushyfoot.  They look just like normal opaque black tights, but on the inside they are lined with the softest fleece. Not only are they very comfortable, they block out the wind entirely, making any skirt or dress a cozy option well into the winter. Kushyfoot also makes other amazing products like Flats-to-Go® which are lightweight portable flats that fold up to fit in your purse. When your feet are dying thanks to killer heels, you have a ballet flat at the ready to get you through to the end of the day. To see the full line of products that will leaving you asking, "why didn't I think of that?" click here. I hope everyone has a great rest of their week, and as always thank you for reading.

Also, Happy Veteran's Day. I want to send a special thank you to all those who have fought and served to ensure our freedom.

The Great Outdoors

Vest: J.Crew (On Sale!) // Chambray: J.Crew //  Scarf: Zara // Jeans: AG // Boots: Aldo (similar here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker 'anywhere' // Lips: Nars Dragon Girl

Hello everyone and happy Thursday! Here are a couple of snaps I took at my friend's farm this past weekend. I would love to say that I am super outdoorsy... but honestly my idea of being outside usually involves a cocktail on a patio. However, I must admit there is something so relaxing about being surrounded by nature in front of a campfire with your friends. Pictured above is my adorable friend Caroline, and the lovely brother pups named Battle and Hondo. For my farm venture, I wanted to keep things causal and functional... but I still couldn't resist a little print mixing. Stripes and plaid together have been a recent favorite of mine. Well here's hoping for another great weekend!  Thanks as always for reading.

Stripes on Stripes

Hello Everyone! Isn't fall the prettiest season? The trees are on fire here in Oxford and it is simply beautiful. Though the world around me is quite colorful, my wardrobe has been filled with a lot of black and white lately. I am not sure whether it is the cool weather or my love of simplicity, but the classic combo always seems to strike the right note.  Here I doubled up on stripes and added pleated leather for a little visual interest. But let's get real... the trees are winning in the visual department, and that is just fine with me! I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and as always thank you for reading!
