Overalls & Rockstuds

Vest: Zara (similar here) // Overalls: Topshop (love these) // Turtleneck: J.Crew // Shoes: Valentino // Bag: Gucci // Sunnies: Karen Walker // Lips: NARS

Happy Wednesday! I love overalls, I really do… they are one stop shop when it comes to getting dressed, and they can be worn so many ways. Although I am guilty of wearing them with a t-shirt and flats on a morning coffee run, I think overalls look their best when paired with sleek outwear and a feminine pointed-toe shoe. My favorite outfits are always the result of an unexpected mix of high and low. I hope you have a great rest of your week (we are half way to the weekend!!) and thank you for reading.

Olive // Gray // Black

Coat: Mango // Sneakers: Nike (and here) // Pants: Zara (similar here) // Sweater: Mason (similar here) // Shirt: Madewell // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Rayban

Happy Monday! My friend Lauren came to visit me over the weekend and we had a blast. We ate a great brunch, went shopping, and sampled some amazing craft cocktails. All in all, we pretty much won the past two days. I wore this outfit on our Saturday outing and it was perfect because we walked all over the place. I love the fact that sneakers are having a moment right now, because I love feeling chic in shoes that feel great on my feet! I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the week, and thank you as always for reading.

And, Again

Coat: Topshop (love this one here and here) // Skirt: J.Crew (old, similar here) // Sweater: Mason (similar here) // Fur Scarf: Nordstrom // Boots: Stuart Weitzman // Socks: Nordstrom // Bag: Celine // Sunnies: Celine // Ring: David Yurman

Hello Everyone, TGIF! Sometimes the world of style blogging can seem impractical. And though I admit that I am not the best person to consult on shopping practically, I definitely wear my clothes over and over again. I try to mix it up, but hey... I live in my clothes. And especially if I really love something, I live in it often. So I bring you to this outfit: my favorite boots, my periwinkle coat (seen here, here, and here) and my new favorite scarf that I wore in my last post. After all, clothes are just fabric and stiches, they only become fashion when you give them life by wearing them. On a side note: how amazing is this view of the U.S. Capitol? No matter how many times I see it, it always amazes me.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and thank you reading.

Navy & Black

Fur Scarf: Nordstrom // Parka: Madewell // Puffer Jacket: J.Crew // Jeans: JBrand // Boots: Hunter (and boot socks here) // Bag: Gucci // Hat: Zara (similar here)

Happy Wednesday! Navy and black is one of my all-time favorite color combinations, yet so many people are still terrified of pairing the two. This cozy half-
navy and half-black fur scarf might be the greatest evidence I have seen that these two shades are meant for each other. I love how the glam fur looks paired with layers of sporty separates creating contrast, and the perfect outfit for navigating the snow we are about to have in D.C. today. The most important thing to remember when pairing navy and black together is to make it intentional by choosing a bright navy. I hope everyone has a great mid-week, and thanks as always for reading.

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Sweater: Topshop (similar here and here )  // Skirt: Zara (similar here)// Jacket: Maje (similar here) // Clutch: Zara (similar here and here) // Shoes: J.Crew (old, similar here) // Sunnies: Karen Walker //  Watch: Vintage Rolex // Ring: David Yurman

Happy Monday! Many of you, including myself, are off from work today since it is MLK day. I love a good three day weekend because not only is the weekend longer, but the following week is shorter! Over the long weekend, I put together this night out ensemble to show my love of mixing textures and color. I tripled up on fuzzy fabrics, and balanced out the softness with my moto-jacket and metallic heels. The juxtaposition of the soft with the shiny silver and tough leather is what really makes this outfit work.  In a funky and casual setting, I would even ditch the jacket and heels for some white leather vans slip-ons and my silver mini backpack... but this option is so much more polished. I hope everyone enjoys their Monday off and thank you so much for stopping by!
